Start with the routine
Compare visit days and gaps for customers with enough recorded history. Separate occasional visitors from weekly regulars before choosing who needs a nudge.
Choose a reason to return
Use a familiar favourite or a relevant menu update. Keep any offer explicit: eligibility, expiry and exclusions should fit in the message or be easy to access.
Respect permission and timing
Include only eligible contacts. Check consent, quiet hours and recent messages. Make it easy to opt out. A single useful reminder is a better experiment than repeated pressure.
Review returns and cost
Define the return window before you start. Record eligible customers, delivered messages, return visits, qualifying bills and offer cost. Use a comparable holdout group when practical to assess additional impact.
